The scene: Walmart's gas station
The main characters: Me, my wonderful stepmom (Nancy) and my amazing brother-in-law (Jeremy).
The supporting characters: A sweet older man, a gangly gas station attendant, a cheery dressed woman with an available phone.
The conflict: I locked my keys in my car.
The climax: Will Nancy be able to get in touch with someone to help me? Will she, will she???
The resolution: Nancy successfully contacts Jeremy to pick me up. Crisis averted!
Lessons learned: Have an extra car key at home; have a spare house key hidden outside; if you have to get locked out of your car, do it on a good weather day; memorize a few phone numbers because you won't be able to use your contact list that is saved on your phone because it too is locked in the car!
Thanks for the help!

When Nancy called me to tell me that you were locked out of your car, Dad also called me just a minute after that. And his voicemail said that you were at "Hallmark, probably the one in the mall." Good thing I talked to Nancy first and knew to send Jeremy over to Walmart. haha! :)
Now that is ADVENTURE... albeit not such a positive one but not totally negative either.
Hey Mandy, you forgot to mention I was in the Portland airport, waiting for my flight back to Las Vegas. What are the chances you caught me before I got on the plane and had to turn my phone off? Oh well. Glad to be of help :)
You crack me! I love how you wrote all that out. Such drama, such suspense... how would it all unfold? You are definitely the queen of the pen (or at least the keyboard!). Love ya!
